Brooklyn Harmonics

Our first public concert is coming up…

It’s never a dull moment in NYC, especially when tourists (and Santas, for one dreaded day!) flock to midtown to take in the sights and shows. Bryant Park’s winter village might be my favorite… and fun fact: did you know that the crystal ball that ā€œdropsā€ on NYE in Times Square actually very slowly rises to the top of its pole over the course of the year?

Anyway, it’s a busy time of year for me, too. Earlier this month, we learned and performed some beautiful arrangements for Hanukkah at Congregation Shearith Israel. One was a deceptively hard but stunning arrangement of Psalm 23, by our own maestro Leon Hyman. I find myself humming it from time to time.

Next week, I’m singing with the Brooklyn Harmonics in our first public concert, backed by the talented Bryan Carter and the Young Swangers. It’s not to be missed. I’ve loved singing with these 8 phenoms, and I can’t wait for friends and family to see us for the first time. Hopefully we can record a killer album sometime soon…

St. Luke’s Forest Hills

I’ll be almost as busy as Santa on Christmas Eve, with two back to back church services. One at Broadway Presbyterian, where I’m thrilled to sing with Djordje Nesic at the keys. The next at St. Luke’s Episcopal in Forest Hills, under the amazing Bill Stokes and in one of my favorite little churches in the world. Can’t wait!
